The methods that I liked the most

  After everything I have learned, I choose these two methods, which for me were the ones with which I had the most contact and learned from them. 1. Communicative approach method: This method focuses on the idea of people learning the language, instead of just practicing a grammatical structure, therefore I like that the teacher offers the students the possibility of doing oral activities and written and then, gives them feedback and correcting them if necessary, so that everyone participates. INVIL

The Virtual Institute of Languages (INVIL) is a structural component of the Organizational system of the University, of a missionary nature and attached to the Office of the Vice-Rector for International Relations, which offers training programs in native and foreign languages and will be a certifying body for international language tests, according to national and international standards. Its main objective is to develop a varied and high-quality offer of language programs through the Open and Distance modality and to implement support mechanisms that facilitate the internationalization of the UNADISTA community.

Remarkable moments

Without a doubt, the practice process left a lot of learning in me, while it motivated me to continue having expectations. There were many experiences, for example, at the beginning of the internship I had the privilege of organizing a class with the tutor and my other internship partners. The tutor is seen to be a deeply knowledgeable person about the needs of her students since the strategies proposed covered each level of learning. She is a very proactive, kind person and during the class, she was always attentive to her students. I learned from her that you must show patience, always think about what you will present to your students, and be highly organized. Another aspect that stood out from the practices was when a student said "I can't understand this, it's difficult for me, this doesn't work for me" when the tutor heard this, he stopped the explanation of the next point and told her, "let's explain this aspect again, you will see that you will un

Field Diary

What is a field diary?  The FIELD DIARY is one of the favorite tools to systematize experiences and investigations that generate a considerable volume of information; it allows the systematic recording of observations, backgrounds, experiences, and perceptions of the participating actors. Analyzed by authors such as Latorre, 1996 and Martínez L, 2007 as a training instrument and didactic strategy, in pedagogical practice, it becomes a tool that develops observation and reflective thinking. The recording of information in the Field Journal must be supported by the execution of the planned activities to describe the development of the class, the impressions, and emotions that occurred before, during, and after each session of the pedagogical practices.

Who I am?

Personal presentation Hello, my name is Raquel Florez. I am a student of Bachelor of Foreign Languages with an Emphasis in English, and I am already in the fifth semester of my degree. I am studying at UNAD (National Open and Distance University) a virtual university in Colombia. Through this medium, I want to share my experience when carrying out pedagogical practices. It is without a doubt, a super nice experience where you learn a lot from others. Although the internships are usually face-to-face since UNAD is a virtual university you can manage your internship site either face-to-face or virtual.
